Each month we feature an exclusive interview with an ECC leader. Hopefully you'll get to know them a little better and be encouraged by their own stories.
This month's interview is with Paula 'Gibby' Gibney! One of the most popular youth leaders at ECC.

Me in a nutshell…I think!
Hi…my name is Paula , I’m 25 and I’ve been coming to ECC for the last 5 years, I honestly love the church and pastoral team are fantastic. I graduated from Queens last July with a degree in Business Information Technology. Most of my free time centers around church life although when I’m not there I enjoy spending time with my family, friends and God. I love traveling, mission trips, and finally something that every girl loves – shopping!
What’s your role at ECC Youth?
At present I have a few roles within 'youth' - I am a leader in the ‘Basement’ youth club, a prayer group leader in '6:8 Outreach' and I take a mime class (which is musical interpretation). Mime is something that I am very passionate about, I enjoy getting the young people involved with it and I love worshipping in this way. I love working with the youth at ECC, helping and encouraging them to be everything they can because they all have so much potential, they’re awesome!
How has the youth helped you develop as a Christian?
Youth has helped me in so many ways... not only in my spiritual walk but in character, personality, and friendships. I'm closer to God now as youth has helped understand his word and the importance of daily prayer and worship. It has made me aware of the talents and gifts God has given me. I’m still learning each day... but it's a very exciting time!
What’s the best part of being involved with the youth ministry?
Emm... interacting with the young people: talking with them, listening to them pray for their family and friends and watching them grow and develop in God. Seeing them use their talents - things they never even thought they could do
